Default 2.2 to 4.3 swap. blazer to s10.

Alright guys, so ive rolled my blazer and its done for. Roofs crushed and its not worth the money to fix. The motor still runs great and the trans is still in good shape. Its a 4x4. One of my buddys has an s10 2.2 with a 5 speed he blew up yesterday. I was wondering, how much trouble would it be to get the 4.3 and trans in the s10? will the 5 speed bolt p to the 4.3? and because the 4.3 and trans comes from a 4x4 will the transfer case have to come with it? I know ill have to move some motor mounts and such but im really curious on this. i can get his truck for 200bucks. and if i can stick my motor in it for under 500 i think ill be in good shape. if any of you have done a swap like this please give me any advice and dont do's you have. THANKS!

5sp trans WILL NOT work. bellhousing is totally different. you will have to swap engine, trans, wiring harness, computer, fuel pumps, and driveshafts too (i think)

if its a new 97ish+ style and if yours is the older, the rear end pinion flanges are different. youd have to swap rear ends too.

U will need to swap the tail piece on your trans...not hard just need one from a 2wd trans !!! Should be fairly cheap fix maybe 30? For a used one....

you'd have to tear down your trans completely and swap main shafts. aka might as well a rebuild.
