Nevermind that last post. First and foremost, I have to have my 4x4 fixed. The actuator and the vacuum lines have all been replaced, and still nothing. When snow clears I'll check axels and wires and see if anythinga wrong. If not, I'll go to Chevy and have them read the code.

Looks nice. Good luck on your build. Trying to get a 2000 LT fixed up myself.

I have a 2000 LT as well. It must be a popular model.

Another 2000 LT here. Been working on it for the last six months and can't wait until I can actually drive it.

Default A very late update

So last time I posted here, I didn't have a job, thus losing insurance and didn't have the money to throw into a vehicle I wasn't driving. Now, I'm finally to the point of being able to build it how I want.

Remember that brake caliper I replaced a year ago? Yeah that wasn't the problem (though, it was bad either way and needed replacing) it was the brake line. Finally replaced it and bleeding the brakes as I speak. Had some gunk in the brake line resevoir, but I'm finally getting GOOD pedal. Before when I was DD it, I had maybe 1/4 pedal, almost to the floor. Now with just bleeding one line it's at half. I'm estactic. Changed some plans, and eventually want to put a 6" lift and squeeze 35's under it, if possible. My grandma is pretty upset because it's a "Grandpa's truck and doesn't need to be like that!" But eh, I like it.

I remember reading about this last year, glad to hear it's still moving. Got a 99 myself, but shes my dd and slow building, so I know that feeling. I'll be keeping an eye out so keep updated!

Though mines a 2000 (the 99 in my name refers to my little S10, which I'm just restoring back to stock in memory of my grandfather) I get the idea! I'll definitely keep it updated as soon as this weather clears in Kentucky. Hopefully I land this second job so I'm able to throw more money at it. Luckily I have a DD 5 speed, but with winter coming I just want to keep this one running in case of snow, might do minor things like exhaust and headlights, but that's about the most. Thanks for following!

You're right! And look at how many young cats race them on Saturday nights! If that's the case, why can't I make mine a beast?

BTW, what are you running? Is it 31x10.50?

The bane of my existence, got it taken off. Daylight soon faded so I called it a night with this.
So the last update was I had to change my front brake line, and I had to. Now, when I went to bleed the brakes, I all of a sudden lost all pedal and it hit the floor.
My rear driverside went out too. I should just go ahead and replace the other two for preventive maintence, but for now, these two will do.
Found out something bad as well. While prying the POS clips that hold the brake line to the frame, I notice there's some rust bubbles trying to bubble up on the very bottom of the door. Since it's on the two tone part, I'll just sand it all down when I get the cash and I'll repaint it all a solid black.

Until then, DeadManTrucking out.
