I got it all back together and painted the grill and bumper black again. It looks a lot better but I still can't get the new/used hood to fit. The old bent up hood barely fits, there is about a 2mm gap between the end of the hood and the fender on the passenger side. The good news is that it does look 10x better without the chrome. I can post pictures later, I am at work now and they block photo bucket here.

I have to say the Rust-o-leum peel coat sucks. It took like 6 coats until I couldn't see chrome anymore and it is starting to bubble off of the bumper already.

Still looks much better.

Looks a lot better without the chrome! I've been trying to find an 02 blazer/s10 bumper to put on my 99. I think they look a lot better

Any idea what the specs on that Camaro steel wheel is? All I can find is the size (16x7.5) but no backspacing info.

If the good old trusty Rust-O-Leum is unable to do the job, then any recommendations on what to use?

Black bumper looks awesome! Especially with the clear marker lights. Unfortunately it's tough to get anything to stick to chrome for very long.

the back spacing is around 5.5" - 6" IIRC

The Jury is still out on that. I might just wait until I can find a Jimmy or Bravada bumper.

Thanks. I had pretty decent luck with duplicolor black on my old bumper
