The cb was an easy mod, just remove the cassette and remove the bracket with the slide tabs and attach the cb to this. Full size cb won't fit though, this one is a cheap little one from walmart but for as little as I use it, it's fine.

Today I installed the new hood release cable, what a pain in the butt that is.
I also installed 4 lights using a spare crossbar for the roof rack but I'm not happy with the lights sitting back so far so I need to think this through.

I used these lights from harbor freights just for the cheap price.

Sweet. Well if you have a small fund to spend i used a random hitch and made this into a front hitch for my Blazer. I am going to get angle iron and weld up a bracket, to the hitch itself, just above were the license plate is and mount the lights there.

You mentioned a full length roof rack so I'll show mine off a little. Build with 1" and 1/2" EMT Conduit! Can you say free? Even if buying the conduit still extremely cheap! Kind of a pain to weld so be careful with the zinc coating, but it's unbelievably sturdy and has held everything I've thrown up there! Plus myself in some situations!

I do like that rack, great job.
Any pointers on the welding? Would it help or can you even sand the coating off the conduit before welding? Could it be welded with a cheapo wire arc welder? What did you use to bend the conduit? I'm guessing just a conduit bender but I never had any luck with those so I'd most likely weld in pre-bent corners lol

I was wondering how well copper with soldered joints would hold up but probably too soft and would bend easy
