2002 Xtreme V8 LS swap
Jared down at Current Performance took my stock 4.3 computer and reflashed it with the custom tune for a 5.3 with an LS1 intake with the cam and heads with the rocker arms i'm going to run

Then he built a custom wiring harness to make this a plug and play swap he eliminated the evap system the rear O2's and the vats system out of the computer and the wiring harness

The wiring is 100% brand new with brand new connectors and made for this motor in my blazer.
The plan on the motor is to paint the block, intake, valve covers, coils black then the coil brackets, fuel rails, throttle body, throttle cable bracket paint matched yellow i was thinking about doing yellow stripes in the groves in the valve covers. i think i'm going to paint the computer gloss black then put a GM performance division badge on it.

he bought everything brand new so his numbers will be higher than what you could do it for if you bought an ls1 or such with like 30K miles. over on s10forum he said he was in $9 grand and needed about 5 more.
Hey guys sorry for the big gaps between posts the build goes in and out of being my priority. The 5.3 harness can be made to plug and play but its pretty difficult from what i've experienced and read. I got my blazer to fire up on the stock 5.3 harness and then it shut right off. The VATS system was shuting it down which later on i found that the Vats on a 5.3 computer can not be bypassed by the wire in resistor. You have to get it tuned out of the computer. Jared @ Current Performance Wiring can hook you up if you want to send him a harness and have him modify it $450 or so or have him build a brand new one for about $900. The computer tuning ranges anywhere from $175 to $450.
I got the T56 back from the transmission shop the guy told me it would be between $250 and $1275. Well after he cracked the case i went down there and looked at it and the trans was f'd so it ended up costin me $1275 and he threw in some upgrades so its pretty nice now still got more to buy and more to do but i'll be getting to that shortly. Heres a pick of the trans now.
