Default 2005 chevy 2 door blazer

hi im new to this site and to the blazers, ive had a s-10 pick up before but not blazer till last week, its a 2005 2 door 5 speed manual 2wd blazer 4.3 v6 I was wondering if any one could help me on some stuff, first im not really finding any thing of the 05 as far as aftermarket stuff, so was wondering what year pickup truck/blazer will interchange with mine, I want to get a ram air hood for it, lower it not sure how far any pics on what you did would be great and how far, and put on a set of amercain racing hopster wheels, tint the windows, also re do the sound system that brings me to another question, what siz speakers are in my dash d=front doors, and rear panels? and where could I get a install kit to change the head unit? sorry for rambling ive been searching all weekend for this stuff and came up with nothing, in the long run im shooting for making my blazer look like an extreme blazer with the body kit they have, any help and pics of your stuff and what you did where you found the parts would be great thanks

Two inch lower would be a good place to start. When the general first made the s blazer they used guess what? An s10 chassis but they raised it for no good reason. The best place to start would be to correct the geometry which is closer to the pickup. So far as sounds prolly your best speaker is a 6 1/2 componant; mid in the door and tweet in the dash I mounted my right crossover in the pass kick panel but had to mount the left one between the door and the door panel kinda inside the arm rest put it in a zip lock bag. More info can be searched in the audio section here.

05's were basically just left over 04's. Hoods are the same 95-05, if you're looking for parts, search for 04's and you might have better luck.

rear speakers are 6x9's, I think the doors are 6" and I don't know about the dash. I'm sure you can find a install kit at you're local auto parts or eletronics store.

I know the 2000 is 4x6" in the dash (with small magnets for easy clearance), 6" in the doors and 6x9" in the rear. Should be the same for a 2005. If you want to upgrade your audio, I recommend upgrading to an AD244 or a DR44G. There is info on this forum and all over the internet about it. It is a cheap and easy upgrade.

Take a look at the first post in this thread as to what speaker sizes you need.

I have a 3/4 drop on mine. Mines a 2000 we just lowered my dads 04 4/5 and ran into some issues but not too bad. I had to c-notch my frame some did not though. Anything below 2 inches in rear you will need to flip the rear brake lines on the calipers. I have some pics in my profile if you wanna check them out. I got all my lowering stuff from Stillen.com. Very nice people. When you lower it lower it the correct way spindles and coils up front and leafs and blocks in rear.... Make sure you get shocks all the way around if you go this route. As for speakers I have 6 1/2 in my doors and 6x9s in the rear with my tweeters up in the dash under the grills. Also did the big three. Stock alt. and red top battery only have 750 watts for everything but ill be upgrading the alt. to the 145 amp one that works with our 4.3's. Hope that helps.
