Thanks Beastly..Love the Duratrac`s man..I`m pretty sure I will pay the extra cash out for these next spring when I get my 31`s also.. Even with the snow and ice we get in the winters these things keep me way out of trouble..I never slide or have any traction problems..I have never had to switch to 4wd in deep snow yet either... I got them for $638 or something like that..mounted and balanced via Sears...

What did you use to paint over the chrome bumper? I was planning on blacking out the front of mine since the chrome is very pitted.

If you mean the grill facia strip..I didnt paint mine.I replaced my grille with the paintable ones that doesnt have the chrome facia. You could plasti dip it or sand it prime it and paint it yourself.

Well I just scored some 3 inch fender flares from a 96 blazer..Payment went out and the guy pulled them from his ride today..Hopefully will be in the mail by tomorrow and have them very soon... He told me they only had screws mounting them to the fender wells and then the gasket type 3m holding them to the body line fender lip.. So I`m guessing the 96/97 models didn't have brackets that held them to the body line.. I`m hoping that self tapping screws and maybe some black adhesive silicone should hold them in place. Scored all 4 of them for $150.00 shipped to me.. Been working on getting my tire swing painted so I can get that mounted soon also..Sadly just never have enough time off to get stuff done...

Are you thinking those are ZR2 flares? (based on the metal bracket comment) If you are, those sound like aftermarket ones to me. Just a heads up and hope you're not dissapointed.

It was a guy that had them up on ebay ..he had a 96 2 door blazer with the 3inch fenders he said they came on there stock from the factory when he bought it..He pulled the engine for another build so he wanted to part the blazer out.. He had a bid for $20 on them so far so I sent him a message asking if he would take 150 shipped for them..So he cancelled his auction.. He took pictures as he was taking them off.. He said they only had screws holding them to the inner lip of the wheel wells and there was a gasket seal that held them on to the body line wheel well trim..The guy is from Toledo Illinois.. I recall a friend that had a 97 2 dr back in the day pre the ZR2 badging and they look the same..cause his 97 didnt have the bumperette flares either and his was bought new.. I`m sure I can figure a way to mount them securely I hope..lol..
