Default 85 s10 tahoe v8

im back guys
as you might have heard, my blazer is totaled
i was looking for a v8 pickup anyway
but, i came across a nice s10 tahoe longbed with no engine or trans for 1k
its an 85. is v8 swaps any easier with these older ones?

if im not mistaken the s10 Tahoe came with a 350 from the factory

i dont think they did, i think the tahoe is a trim package

That's what my brother did to his '82 S10 Durango long bed. LT1 out of a TransAm. He complained once or twice about the engine bay but looking at it now there's plenty of room. Biggest thing he had problems with was the exhaust, he's constantly scraping it due to a poor job done by the garage.

im actually looking into doing this
for some reason i think the first gens have more room.
just looking at the 4.3 in the blazer we used to have
it looked like it was stuffed in there itself
if i can find a good s10 i might do this.
my dad has plenty of expierence in motor swapping
he put a v8 in a v6 chevy truck
and he used to put chevys in fords and fords in dodges and dodges in pontiacs etc
so he will give me some help
