Default 91 Full size 350-Project FAIL

I figured I'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone by doing my newbie intro and my new project together. My name's Bill, I'm 30, I got a bunch of kids, live in PA and spent most of my time playing with my quad until recently picking up a 91 Blazer.

The goods: I picked up a 91 Blazer that was sitting since around 05 (that's when the last inspection ran out) for $850. I've got fairly good hands on skills but am by far no mechanic..but I'm learning anything I can.

The body was in decent shape, some bubbling, and the rocker panel on the driver side is completely gone from the driver side window being broken out and the passenger side is on it's way out as well.

The V-8 350 has 144K on it. I replaced the fuel injectors, fuel pump, and tried running the pump from the relay under the hood..but no gas was coming out. ?? The gauge showed over 1/4 tank but when I went to drop the tank my ratchet bounced off the tank and I realized it was empty. The gauge DIDN'T WORK! So far all I did was change the oil, filter, and fill up the radiator.

so here are a few I snapped the other day.

Also..ANY assistance, pointers, advice, name calling, etc. will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The day I picked it up. There was a tree growing around this side:

The kids wanted to wash it, how could I say no?

Engine

Rust:

Found some surprises behind the spare:

not really sure how I'm going to fix this yet:

Forgot to add. I picked up a rear seat, driver side window, and a rear window motor out of an 84 for $40 the other day. I ripped out the old back seat and nasty cat wizz smelling carpet and underlay last night, and 'attempted' to replace the driver window. I should have taken pics for your amusement...major window FAIL. Not sure if the 84 was different or what, what the back is down about 1/2 inch or so when the front part reaches the top of the frame I read it's easier to get the glass in by removing the vent window, so I tried that. I have no idea what I did but it didn't work too good...any suggestions, let me know!

I think this might be garbage now after my vice grips slipped off (I'm prety sure I break more than I fix). I wanted the back window down before I found a new motor:

and here's some of my other toys:
YFZ450, 2 Raptor 90s, an 85 KX80 which we traded for a newer PW80

After the last crash out, trashed the steering stem along with myself

Yeah you're not kidding. After I manually cranked down the rear window to drop the tailgate, I thought the thing was gonna fall right off!

I'm afraid will all the rust the body will fall right off the frame when it goes off road! ha ha

Got a few pics of the 'progress' I've made so far.

First off, the nice new sign I found..we'll get to that later:

Before:

After:

Critters liked it in here:

This was kind of a PIA to get off:

Not bad, a few spots that I guess will need sanded and primed.. ??

Window FAIL..notice the left is still down about 1/2 inch. For some reason I can't get it shifted. Any ideas??

WTF?! Yep, the street sign:

Underneath the seat:

My custom ratcheting breaker bar aka piece of bent conduit:

kind of hard to tell but I can fit my whole foot through the hole on the left:

I don't know what I got myself in to

Yeah I've been thinking the same thing. Who needs a wife when I can just give LMC my paychecks from now on.
