Okay so good news , just got back from pull a part and was playing with the tail gate idea . Well the hinges are in the same exact spot but the trick is you have to take the plastics off and there is a hole you have to reach you hand in and grab the braket that they screw into or it will fall down into the body ..

Steps
1.switch hinges
2 .grab a hammer beat that metal flap at the bottom where the seal used to be flat ( bottom of tailgate will not line up correct unless done so )
3 .drill your bottom hinges on the body and mount the tail gate
4. Drill in the new holes for your lines on the side of the gate
5.for me to post pics

I kinda like the look u got going on here.... if only u could make the back portion removable, with tailgate of course!!!!!!!! I wouldn't of ever guessed that the blazer looks good with the top cut off.....

Thanks man , yea if I had the place to keep the top and do that I would have it would have been a cool thing to do now I'm trying to have a guy I work with help me make a snap on cover for it ( that's part of his job ) so I fingered with his experience if I can get everything to do it with it would be a time saver and make it look nice

Okay so had someone at work weld my hinges for me ( can't put brakets on the other side due to it being boxed in so would be to much work to get that to work ) but here's some pics
