Default 99 Blazer Engine Removal and Installation

I got a 1999 Blazer form my mom but the engine has fail so I have to put rebuilt engine in. My uncle is helping me with this job.
If anyone has any advice from doing this before I be more that happy to hear it. I need all the help I can get. I keep you update. I got 4 week to get he job done.

there have been numerous threads done with regards to your question.

even if you've never done any project of this task, it shouldn't take anything more than a weekend to get 'er done. it'll be a soild weekend, but it's not super difficult.

so, I started to day and things went well but I have a few question.
1.Ho you have unhook the ac?
2 How do you pull off the fan?( I looked in the book but it was not much help)

Hello, You dont have to disconnect the AC lines to the compressor. Take the four bolts out and move compressor over to pass. fender. Be careful when pulling the engine not to hit the radiator. The fan is a pain, I used a Craftsman strap wrench to hold the pulley and a big crescent wrench. Several things to look out for are ground straps,knock sensor,fuel line brackets and oil sending unit on back of heads\bellhousing. Lots of stuff back there. Hope this helps.

How's this going??? Mine is starting next week but I'm paying to have it done. Oh well it,s just money I'll make more, eventually.

We just pull off the fan and rad. we hope to finish everything my Monday. I have also been painting my blazer black on the low half.

ok we r also to the enggine pull but we don't know the best way any ideas? (4X4)
what is the best way to pull the engine out on a 4X4?

engine out the last bolt was hard but now we can start putting in the new one.
