Starting battery

New work boots, 13 double wide. Like wearing hooker heels.

Here's a small update. Pulled the stock battery to drop my D3400 in. Had to mod the battery tray. Pain in the *** using dremel cutting wheels lol. Repainted it. I went to start my big three and just getting ready to start running wire in general. Well couldn't find my hammer, roommate moved it and didn't tell me. Took almost an hour to find. I was pissed. I ended up breaking my hammer crimper once I found it. Got one crimp.... I didn't like the diyma 0ga terminals really... I also pulled the front differential actuator while the battery was out, to hopefully find my 4wd issue and I did.

Stock

Decent size difference.

Modding the tray

Took way too long with a dremel tool...

Nice fit

That's why it won't lock in

I'm feeling my motivation come back lol.

More updates. Crimpers won't be here until Tuesday, which I'm still pissed about... I planned getting my big three and few runs done today... But good news is, my MechMan elite 370a alt will be here Tuesday. Which I paid for on Wednesday, so that's what I call service! I'm excited. So I'll be busy this week. Next weekend, some wood should be going in

Also I got my avh-x5500bhs in. It's an amazing unit. No homo. Just on stock speakers, the sound is night and day different. Streaming bluetooth audio is great. CD is even better. I still need yo ground the parking brake line, hook up the "reverse light" wire, backup camera and aux cable lol. I'm really liking it so far.

Had to scrap all the dash kit crap. I picked up some metal strapping or plumbers tape. I didn't like how flimsy it was. I found some "J-hook" straps we on wood poles to do cable drops. It about three times as thick, so much more strength. I only took two pics. I was just focused haha.

Kind of temped with wire nuts. Eventually I'll solder and shrink tube it. You can see where I added some bolts to low portion of the opening. Secured in with epoxy. Hopefully they stay in when I unbolt them lol.

I don't feel like build the dash bezel, so mustache tape to cover up the mounting.

Woooo. More progress. My 10 ton crimpers and 370a MechMan alt came in today I'm freaking wore out. Everything took way longer than expected but oh well. Alt works great. Had a battery light for a second but it worked out. Looks like I'm almost charging at 15v. Got Three + and - leads to my front battery. Used that FA 00g wire. Which was a bitch. But it's silver tinned ofc!

Dem boxes

couple goodies

Received in less than a week!

mmmmmm

Bam!

Top notch packaging

Hmmmm

It's a big bitch. Bigger than I thought.

Big ole dies

Old weak alt

Beef

Meh pic

More meh

Zip ties ftw!

Might redo the run that's kind of exposed, but it's tight.

One of my pre crimps of the diyma 0ga terminals. They'll probably like 3/0 or 4/0 lol
