When I first got my 5x10 utility trailer I use to haul my ATV's, it had the jack just like that on the neck. But after the first time pulling it, I took it off... It comes VERY close to hitting my rear mounted spare tire on the swing out carrier... Wouldn't take much of a jack-knife or going over a decent incline to send the jack into the wheel and tire on the back... I have a new swing-up trailer jack I need to weld on it, I just haven't taken the time. So for now it's just been getting set down on a log to keep the tongue off the ground lol

DonL , yeah it's previous life was a pop up camper shell from the seventies LOL my original "business partner" College buddy and I bought it to be a landscape trailer and never actually finished it so we used it as is for a few years and it sat in my backyard for 10. Blazen, we are intentionally bolting it on not welding because I've heard that before but the way it stands it looks like it'll be tall enough to not do anything underneath when retracted. the biggest thing I have heard is it catching and bottoming out on steep grade changes like driveway to Street but I'm not planning on a lot of strangers properties at this point so hopefully I can keep it away from that scenario. I do know however that with the toolbox and the spare tire on the tongue she's not going to be a self lifter LOL. My back's only 43 years old I'd like to make it last at least to 63 heehee.

it was such a beautiful day yesterday. I'm hoping for another good day like that for Sunday. I'm jealous of yet grateful for the barn I'm working on it at.
