I doubt it'll be finished by then. It's got a lot of work that needs to be done. I'm going to attempt to salvage the motor, but it's looking like a lost cause. We'll see though. It needs a lot of cleaning.

As for the frame, I can get that finished easily before the Michigan trip to The Mounds. Gonna sand the hell out of it, prime it, and then paint it. Most likely red, but I'm kinda leaning towards black. Any votes on the color?

Did some tearing down recently. Thought I would take some photos of what I have accomplished.

It's in pieces!!!

The motor partially torn down.

The tires do hold air, but one of the tires is cracked all to hell. I will need to get new ones. And maybe some new rims, but these only have surface rust, so I might sand them and then repaint them with some chrome paint. You can also see here how nice the shocks look. They don't have a spot of rust on them.

You can see here how bad it was. The foam in the air filter is starting to degrade here.

And, here you see how the piston and valves are looking. The piston doesn't look too bad, but the valves have seen better days. The bore is clean as a whistle.

I do like the look of that blue. I was thinking about getting Space Blue Metallic to match my truck.

Check out Walneck's Classic Cycle Trader, they have a mini bike section in the magazine. I think their web site is Walneck's .com or something like that.

You might br sitting on a gold mine! And don't trash the motor, might find some body in a mimi-bike cult that would want it.

Cool toy-I'm 57 and still got mine from when I was 12!

i'm with MTopper & Cavalier z24, match the colour of your truck.

@ mrstaypuff, i was thinking along the same lines as you...........but i was thinking an earlier 2 cylinder diesel.

but i think we're gonna get him side tracked, and then he's gonna end up with a really consuming build on his hands.

not that there's any problem with that...........................
