Ok i got my rack, and decided it was way to small for the blazer. i ordered a small car top rack, and decided to enlarge it.

so i tore it apart, went and bought 24 feet of aluminim channel, did a reconfigure, re drilled everything, and put together a rack, the correct size. after enlarging it, i added additional front and rear vars, lower side bars, and side struts. i then removed the center potions of my existing rack, and roof lights, from the front cross bar, and put them on my new rack. then installed everything on the blazer. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Here are a couple more, showing a closer look, and the wiring for the lights. all soldered, heat shrunk, and run in looms.

Now i am thinking about adding 4 more lights up top. i am thinking one on each side, and two in the back. 1 in the back hooked to my backup lights, for better backing vision, and the other one wired with the two side ones, for just general purpose lighting, (camping, or loading my little boat at night). any input on this?

I`m doing the same thing but dont think hooking the back ones up to your back up lights is a good Idea. Think about when your in town or at the mall, put it in reverse and blind everyone. Put em on a separate switch and when you need them flick em on

yep, good idea. i just know sometimes backing up in the woods, or even hooking up your boat early in the morning, etc. a set of rear lights would be really nice to have. i think i will go with the extra switch. Thanks

Right, I camp (primative) a lot and the extra lights around the rack would help for those late night arivals
