The grille guard, was actually a junkyard find for $125.00, covered in ants, and dirt. took it apart, fabbed up some brackets, sanded it, primed and re-painted it. pretty happy with it. and my last two lights mounted, wired, and everything up and running. (side note), i also added extra grounds, from the batt, to engine, and from engine to two different body ground locations. i saw an immediate difference in the brightness of my lights.

Thanks!!! I definately hope you get it back. I love seeing these old trucks being brought back, and cared for. They are a lot of fun. a pain yes, LOL, but most things that are fun... well... are!

Things will slow down a little now. Next to come should be the 2" rear shackles, then a 2" PA body lift, then hopefully larger tires. i have a few small things i will be doing in the meantime. but i have to save up for things. On a tight budget, and my TOY sometimes has to wait for just a minute or two. LOL

Very nice I'm really liking the color scheme and the way you painted the rear window trim. I was thinking about putting a crease at the ends of the narrow part of the molding with a hot electric iron, making it look like it's separate from the thicker top and back, painting the thin part black and the rest in the body color. Scared of ruining it and probably not necessary. What kind of spray paint did you use on the tire rack? I need to paint that and the roof rack. I'll be using a few cans of spray paint but don't know what kind to buy.

Ordered this yesterday $177.75 and it already shipped today with free shipping. Can't wait to install this baby. I have the original 2001.

I used krylon automotive satin black. Sanded well, black krylon spray primer, then the satin black. works great, and stays looking new. i got the primer, and satin from Advance auto parts.

Thanks. Yours looks good in the picture and that's what I'll use. Thanks again for the info.

Well about 4 weeks ago, i did a V-8 swap... well of sorts. i Sold my Blazer, and bought a Ford Explorer, with a 5.0 V-8. loving it. Now i am looking for a 1st Gen, S-10 Blazer to do a SAS and full lift offroad setup. i just could not bring myself to cut up, my 2001, it was so nice, inside and out. and i want an offroad toy. I still get on the site, picking up new ideas on my SAS. and activly looking for my new project. The Explorer, is just a nice family cruiser, and so the Blazer (when i find what i want), will be my weekend toy. to use, abuse, and have mucho fun with.
