ok so i decided to do a build thread of my own. i bought a 2000 gmc jimmy on jan 20 for 280 certifed and e-tested. i first gave it a wash and added a bug deflector and rain guards and a set of 8k hids.

ok so i decided to do a build thread. i bought a 2000 gmc jimmy slt 4x4 in jan 2012. i paid 2850 certified and e-tested. first thing i did was clean it up and add bug deflector,rain vents and 8k hids

 

then i added performance cross drilled rotors and carbon ceramic pads and bled the brake lines

then i purchased a set of 31x10.5r15 bf goodrich all terrain tires for 200 bucks

then i added a aluminum brush gaurd,4x blazer offroad lights with 100 w bulbs and a uniden cb with whip


i then did a full tune up,ngk plugs,sea foam the motor,use sea fom in the gas,maxx performance distributer cap and rotor and perormance wires and blaster coil. then i changed the fuel filter and the 2 02 sensors to ntk. then i changed the engine and transmission mounts to energy suspension poly urithane,then i changed the fluids to kendall synthetic for the front and rear diff fluid,then i changed the u joints on the drive shaft to greasable ones,i also added moog inner and outer tie rods,moog ball joints,moog pitman arm and idler arm,i also upgraded to a jeep universal joint steering shaft to rid of the sloppy steering,i then took my truck to the local tuner shop to have my ecu reprogrammed from hp tunerz. i must say it was the best performance upgrade to buy for 200 bucks.i then also bought a new radiator and switched to the green coolantt,bought a new a/c compressor,new thermostat,new rad clutch fan

 

then i went to local scrap yard and found a set of 3 aluminum skid sheilds for 50 bux with brackets. i soon then found a metal gas tank skid sheild for 30 bux and installed after the pics

then i tinted my tail ligjts and added a reese trailer hitch


heres me with our boat we recently sold and upgraded to a 19 foot with 2.5 chev motor





then i decided to take the truck offroading for the first time with the new tires in guelph ontatio



then i decided to lift the truck with a 2.5 inch lift kit. here is the keys and shackles


then i purchased procomp es 9000 shocks with red boots


then i decided to service the rear diff and paint the cover red and add energy suspension rear sway bar kit

then orderd the rough country frnt steering damper kit and the upper control arms


then i decided to make custom from sway bar disconnects
