today i got some goodies in the mail they were cheap from ebay but work very well.
heres the led overhead cosole light
here is the digital oil temp gauge i got as well
i decided to mount it into the oil filter block as it was the easiest way to go since i installed a aux oil cooler. the plug was a 3/8 but the square was a odd size and i needed to hammer a hex socket to break the treads loose
i installed the sensor into a brass reducer and wired it all up
here is it working the truck was just idling and wasnt under any load.

yea im excited for the install of the idler arm and tie rods. the ifs is good but has alot of weak parts and i like to hit alot of trails that are coverd with rocks and water and need it to hold up.

I hear that!! I'm about to replace my idler again to pass safety inspection. I've only put less than 2k miles on it in the last year and its already shot!!

yea ive gone through so many idler arms even the moogs dont hold up to the abuse hence why upgrading is the best way to go.

I finnaly had a weekend to my self and it gave my a chance to catch up on the mods I had custom made for the jimmy. I had installed the 1 ton bracket with idler arm and assembly, the custom heavy duty tie rods and new brake pads.
heres the finished results of the idler arm bracket and assembly. it wasn't a easy job as u have to alight things just right and drill 2x 1/2 inch holes into the frame to relocate the bracket holes.
here is the finished tie rods I installed 2x new inner tie rods to make it a brand new and clean install as both inner tie rods were worn out in less then a month due to heavy offroading lets see if these break. I had to drill the knuckle out with a 5/8 drill bit in order to install the grade 8 bolt and lock nut
I use lucas red n tacky grease as it has a lot of good material in it to coat the ball joints and tie rods.

the front suspension is done I am gonna mock up a passenger side diff drop bracket to alighn the cv angle better and make up some custom brackets to support the idler arm and pitman arm as seen on congnito motorsports. it drives great after the test run feels a lot more responsive and no more play in the steering.
