First, I would like to thank onder for the idea with the seat shaft repair kit. The last days I installed it on my seat. It works great. Last weekend I milled some conversion parts to fit the '98 model seats to my '95 seat console. Today I want to paint the console in the car's colour. Pictures will follow

Hi Chris,
Great build and nice to see more guys from home joined that great forum.
Many thanks for the tip with Xerapol - will try it on my Yukon's headlights which came with a sort of battery acid scratchy stains.
Viele Grüße!

Try the Xerapol before you polish your headlights with it. At my buddys K2500 the headlights became blind! But at my Blazer it works good.

Thanks again Chris. I ordered from Germany today and will try it in a small area of the head lights before using it complete. Have also read it's just only for acryl not for poly-carbonate - that may be an issue.
Beste Grüße!

Little bit crazy, to talk english with another german. Haha. Whatever it's an american forum, so it's obvious to talk english. ;-)

Yes, true. Kind of respect. I have this situation everyday. Whenever there is another national in a German dominated meeting here, we all talk English. Doesn't matter if he is Arab, Philippine, English, American, Brazilian or whatever nationality. On the other hand it's always impressive how many of them start talking German when we go to the next Brauhaus.
I guess there are lots of Americans who grow up with other mother tongues in their early childhood as well - e.g. Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, Russian... For all of them English is the public overlay as well as for us.
Especially for us East-Germans it's a great thing to have freedom and drive Blazers and write in English with all the world: Just better than driving a Lada Niva and writing Russian with just half the people!

Hey hirni, my thought.
But this Lada Niva looks awesome.
Today I finished my drivers seat assembly.
It was a little bit tricky to mount the ´98 seat to a ´95 seat console.
I have to grind out the holes on the front of the seats frame.
(Red Arrows and with the Seat Shaft Repair Assembly)
I painted the visible parts of the seat console with the body colour.
Here are the self-milled seat-to-concole adapters.
I need them to come over the seat switch panels and the step of the mounting surface.
And here is the seat handle of the Repair Kit.
I think it looks good, is easy to install and works great.

Disassembled the small backseat yesterday.
The removing of the seating surface was easy, because the cover was only clipped on the frame and the frame was only bolted on the backrest with 4 screws.
The removal of the backrest cover was not so easy.
First, I didn´t find the little hole to remove the headrest from the seat, and the to remove the seatcover I have to remove the lever assembly of the seat folding mechanism.
To do this, I have to remove the seat cover so far as it´s possible, the remove the foam of the cushion and bend the sheet clamps (red arrows) with a pliers, going through a hole in the front of the frame, to release the lever assembly out of the frame.
What a s**t.
So today I still washed the covers and the headrest and now I wait until its dry.
