Finally Making Progress
I am finally getting closer to getting the truck back on the road. It hasn't left my garage since Feb. of last year.
It now has complete air ride, setup to lay frame corvette c5 wheels. It also has a 283 with a wc t5 manual trans. It still has the original 7 5/8 rear end with 3.73 gears and a gov lock locking rear end. The battery is relocated to behind the rear drivers side tire.
I am putting a set of green cyberdyne digital gauges in it.
To get it on the road, I need to finish the gauges, front and rear shocks, inner fenders for the front, run brake line, build the bracket for the compressor, and put the interior back in. I'm sure there are other things, but I can't think of them right now.
Here are a couple pictures of it layin frame in the garage.

Pretty cool stuff man. The 283s a cool touch. I always though a 283 would make a cool green motor, if you could get it to like 14:1 and run natural gas! It would make some serious power too!

So I've gotten some more done to it. I've had a bunch of crap going on, so I haven't worked on it as much as I wanted.
I got it all wired. I got rid of the computer and 90% of the wires under the hood. The existing wires are all loomed and it looks nice and clean. I also got the drivers side front inner fender done. I'm running the wires for the headlights and turns thru the fender then the core support so it is hidden. I also painted the entire engine bay black.
All my wires for my valves, compressor, fuel pump/gage, etc are ran in the cab. The relays for the compressor and the fuel pump are mounted in the jack cubby hole. The gages are wired, I'm just waiting on the volt gage because its on backorder. I still have to fiberglass the center console so I can hook up the air gages and switches. All the wire is ran, it just needs hooked up.
I have to look for another drivers fender, mine is damaged and I want to replace it, and the other inner fender is on backorder.
I've been a bit distracted lately since I got the k5. I can't wait to take go play with it. We have a mud pit at mu buddys house by his pond. We also have a sand bowl about 30 miles away.
