No, the problem is that the backing plate fit`s just between the frame and the fuel tank. There`s no room for a nut...

I thought about tapping the backing plate, but i think it`s not thick enough...

Ah. How much room do you have on the inside? Can you drill the hole out larger and weld a nut in?

i am starting to feel that you might be planing a Serengeti plains trip

...just seems like your ride would do really well there

Thought about that too, but if i remember correctly, it was not even enough room for that...
But I`ll have a closer look again...

Next trip will be to italy to the "Passo di Tremalzo":

Also put new cv-grease in my cv-boots and secured them with some heavy duty stainless hose clamps. I don`t think they`ll slip anymore...

If you want or need to add a Aux input to your factory radio see the link below. They also sell radios on ebay that already have the Aux input added to OEM radios.

Factory Radio Service, Car Factory Radio Services

Thanks, but i don`t need something like that. If my try would`ve been successful, i`d be happy with it. But now, i just stick with my fm transmitter...

Btw, have some nice things on their way, eg. some LED`s, new cb, gps, etc... Oh, and another sticker...

yeah screw the plains, Passo di Tremalzo looks way more intimidating.

i think "Passo di Tremalzo" translated to english means.....
"pass that will make you tremble" maybe??

and the signature "finger" to finish the job.
yup that should def. be your sig on here.

fix for the aux on radio??

Don`t know what it means, but your translation could be possible... This pass was built in the first world war, and wasn`t rebuild since them. So, almost 100 years old, should be pretty interesting and challenging...

Another pass that will be on our trip:

This one reaches to about 8850`elevation... We will even go skiing there on our trip...

And thanks for the link, but i think i`ll just stay with my fm transmitter...

Hmm, i use the tranny cooler to give my tranny a bit longer life, so i don`t get P1870 all the time until i can fix the tranny...

I`ve been on this pass a few timer hiking, you can really fell the thinner air...

With my Supra i was one time at about 6000`and could only get about 15psi instead of the normal 26psi boost...
