Well it was an interesting fall/winter/spring. Last fall my last trip out on the trail i ended up hydro locking my engine. Got it back running though and it runs as good as ever. Had a good winter other than a few rough patches. Lol
Then spring rolled around and i decided it was time for some bigger tires.
I got tired of replacing front end parts over and over also. So after 6 months or more of research i bought what was left of an 87 Wagoneer for parts and a 95 Honda Passport rear axle and im going solid axle. I have to build a front crossmember and buy a few odds and ends still but I will be doing this swap here shortly..
Waggy D44 front with waggy steering and front springs SOA
Passport D44 rear SOA
35-38" tires depending on the deal i find.
Homemade crossmember for the front

Your build was my imspiration Rex! I said I wouldnt even attempt something to this extent until i saw your write up. So now its go time! Im trying to sell off the rest of the drivetrain from the Waggy to make my money back so I can finish buying parts. Im so close I can taste it! Lol

Yeah those are 4:30s. If you fine another axle with the same ratio you can swap the R&P into your front axle as well for cheap matching gears.
