Small update, I ground the rust and painted the fender well below the battery box for a little more rust prevention.

These wheels and tires look sweet! I can't wait to get them put on! But still have to drop and cut the front diff and then start reassembly.

32s!? I thought 31s were the largest tires that would fit well with the RC 2.5" lift.

Looking forward to seeing the final result.

So, yes, it says it'll only clear a 31. However, I also have a 2" BL sitting on the bench ready to go in as well.

So the cool thing is, I actually got the lift kits and also a steering stabilizer from a couple on FB marketplace. All brand new in the boxes, I got an RC 2.5" Lift, a zone offroad 2" BL, and also an RC steering stabilizer for $430. They had it for a while, sold their Jimmy and just wanted it out of the closet. They were very kind folks and I was more than happy.

Today has been a slow progress day as I've had running around to do with the wife. But now that I'm home, I'm going to be out working on the blazer for the rest of the evening.

Finally got the upper diff mount bolt out. I had to put a wrench in the access hole in the frame. Then I ended up using a 6 point short 18MM on a universal joint with a 10" extension to use my impact underneath. From everything I read on here and on the S10 forum... yall were not kidding. What a royal PITA!

Try to have a buddy or two to help with the body lift. I put a 2" bl on my Blazer a number of years ago and had two helpers. It would have been a major PITA with no hands. Take your time, don't miss any steps. You may have to do some cutting on the fire wall for the steering, though. Just a heads up on that. I have a ZR2 and didn't have to, not sure about the non-Z's.

I greatly appreciate the heads up! I have a couple buddies that are going to come over on Thursday and also Saturday. Otherwise, I have done everything myself so far. Also, the body lift might be on hold as I discovered that one of the body perches is damn near gone. I'm going to talk to a buddy of mine and see if/when he might have time to fabricate and weld a new one on. He's cheap labor too, usually a case of beer and help with whatever. My buddies and I are constantly trading favors, but we never have kept track.

. The main reason I'm able to take my time here, is our railyard is shut down until the 10th. Good for projects, not so much on the bank account.

On a side note... getting the front diff out.. thats another PITA.. but it's out now, luckily I didn't have to bend any of the mounts, but I did have to remove the center link and then play tetris in removal.

I also did want to give a huge thank you to everyone on this forum. I've been reading through builds and repair posts, etc. And I must say, the weather of knowledge here is incredible! I'm glad to be apart of it and I hope to be able to contribute whatever I can.

Well the front diff is all cut, new bracket mounted. Soon to go back in the blazer.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove the torsion bars?
I understand what has to be done, but I cannot get them loose after I have removed the adjustment bolt.
