I'm interested to see how you make that hood scoop work. Should be very cool.

Bumper is getting close!





And for anyone curious, I weighed it and it came in at 90 lbs.

 

Very nice. Will those lower mounting brackets go inside the frame?

 

Thanks. No, they wrap around the outside.

 

Bumper is painted, it's a temp paint job. I didn't spend a lot of time getting the metal perfect because I was planning on using bedliner which would hide a lot of imperfections. Right now I just need it done and installed on the Blazer so I just did a quick spray can paint job and you can see a lot of those imperfections, so the paint doesn't look great right now.


I also have the lights installed, just need to be aimed and tightened down. Still need to run power for them too.


And I got the winch prepped for installation. Removed the control box and made the last extended wire that runs from the winch to the control box.


So here's the only picture for now. This is the last wire I had to make, ends are crimped and have double wall adhesive shrink tubing.


You'll all have to wait until the bumper is installed before I post anymore pictures of it. I have to let the suspense build after all

Ok so I was purposely not posting too many update pics on the bumper because I wanted to do a big reveal.

Here it is!













Like I said, paint isn't the best and will be getting bedlined later. I also need to adjust the fitment a bit. I would like to push it back a bit further. That will wait till later as well.


And here's the rest of the updates I never posted.


Started smoothing out the welds.








Little bit of primer and welding the nuts for the fairlead.





Another test fit and marking for cutting for tire clearance





Some quick paint





Installed the LED lights








And installed the bumper and installed the winch
