Yeh, probably was too i guess... lists and headliner doesnt fit properly alot of holes in the body wich has been plugged with some strange looking material, a large hole in the roof wich has been welded up, the metal details on the interior was also military green once, but spraypainted black....
I guess there should be some kind of headlight dome? I got only a metal plate there...
Hardtop has also been green but is now removed

Mine didn't have a dome light. those trucks were basically no option vehicles. Are the holes on the body panels just behind the door? There was usually a antenna mount there

why?............you seem to have a good one going here.
while your truck "looks" pretty good, after reading your thread over @ Steel Soldiers, it seems like you have quite the project on your hands.
regardless if it's a genuine M1009 or not, it's gonna be a rare truck having the diesel in it. these engines are great. i had a 5.7L powered 'Burb before, and currently have a 6.2 powered 'Burb, and the increase in fuel mileage was unbelieveable! went from around 14mpg in the gas one to an average of 21.4mpg!
just an open question, not trying to jack your thread Jonas, but can anyone tell me why the vBulletin forums don't let you see any pic's unless you're a registered member? i tried to look @ your pic's over @ Steel Soldiers, but wasn't able to, since i'm not a member.
just asking, since i'm curious about what condition your truck is in.

I was reading through your build thread and i thought i'd give you some info. just general stuff on these trucks. if they have a 24 volt system im almost sure that is only military use (which you know yours is) the diesel that were civillan had 2 batteries but 12 volt starters. they just took advantage of the extra cranking amps of the extra battery not the volts.
what's your plans
offroading truck? weekend warrior ? street queen?
