i have also found somebody selling 4 ZR2 wheels with 31" goodyear Wranglers for 400 bucks. i could probably talk him down to 300. he says they have good tread left. just wondering if these would be a good deal or not....

alright well i figured i should post what my plans are for the weekend and week. my Catalytic converter is on the way. i went with the magnaflow for 89 bucks from summit. a shop said they can weld it in for around 80. (not going with the place that put my muffler in. they wanted 500!!!!!) but before that i am going to put my spare tire carrier on tomorrow as soon as i wake up. should be a fun day. also if i have any money left after installing that cat and after a tux i have to rent (150!!! sisters wedding. im a groomsmen!!!) i plan on getting the spectre CAI. its only 100 bucks shipped and i figured it should help with my gas mileage since im only getting around 14!! even with premium gas!!! totally redonklous. either way i will post pics up after im done with the carrier and after the cat is installed and after the CAI is installed.

let me know how you think its coming along everyone!!!!

Default tire carrier!!!

alright so on saturday i decided to start putting on my tire carrier. started at about 930 in the morning and didnt finish untill it was getting dark out!!! this thing was a complete beach!!!! i also VHT nightshaded my tail lights. and installed my airhorn and installed my towhooks. very productive day...

test fitting the carrier...

hits the windshield wiper so i cant use that anymore. it was broken anyway...

started drilling... poor baby!!!

ended up using allen bolts for the inside ones.

finished.

yes i know ugly rusty spare tire!!!

starting the tail lights. the one on the right is sanded with 1000 grit sandpaper.

after spraying both with one coat.

ended up scratching the poop out of them so they look kind of poopy.

finished product before waxing and then after.

oh and where i mounted the air horn. i just need to run the lines and stuff now.

and i think i tightened the bottom bolts too tight because i bowed in the metal... oops!!!

overall im very happy with the way the day turned out. now i just need to get a spare tire cover and ill be happy with the way my truck looks for now!!!

Looks good. Welcome to the rear tire carrier on a 4 door club! I overtightened mine a little bit and did the same thing. It's not noticeable unless you really look at it closely. The tailights look good, but for god's sake get some paint on that spare rim

My latch plate looks identical. No bolt in the center hole on the right side. Looks great though!

From swinging it out too far or just from having it open a lot?
