Default LED dome and Blackened Bowtie!

Well, I did a couple projects today.
I went ahead and put in an LED light in my dome. That looks pretty cool

The difference in color between LED and incandescent. I know, it's blurry

I also painted my bowtie black.
Stuff I used. No sanding. All I had to do for prep was wipe it down with rubbing alcohol.

Just two "bolts" on a plastic thread? Okay...

I folded up a page of newspaper to prop it up so I could get all sides.

Beautiful

Word of advice, use more newspaper than I did.lol

And here we are!

[EDIT] I decided to make this my build thread. So I will post future mods here.

Damn, that looks AWESOME!! Love the Krylon paint. It always turns out awesome.
That dome light is really bright too. I like it a lot. Where did you get it, and do they make it in blue?

It's very bright! I got the lights at Autozone. It was 17.99. And yes, I do believe they make it in blue.
I am going to do the rest of the interior bulbs in LED. I also want to buy a second one, and solder it in so the whole dome is LED
Hey, you would probably know this Alex, what number is the bulb in the foot-wells?

194. Same as your gauge lights.
How did you install that LED? Did you have to solder them or was it just plug and play?

plug N' Play. Well Kind of.
It comes with multiple adapters for the push in bulbs, but mine has the long bulb with wrap around wires. So I had to bend the contacts in, and fit an adapter in. I managed to make it my B***h and work. lol
If the adapter pops back out, I'm just going to solder the wires onto the contacts.

Hmmm. Interesting. Too bad we don't have Autozone up here. I'll have to take a look around the local places and if not then I'll find one on ebay. Thanks for the info.
