Well I ran into another issue with james, I was driving home from work and the ujoint I just replaced blew out and caused some MASSIVE vibration on the highway. This happned just before my exit wich is about a mile from my house.

So I limp him home and I get to my drive way I crawl underneath and there is a big puddle of tranny fluid. so Im crawling around and i see this

The adapter plate between the transmission and the transfer case just about shattered. im guessing the 13 degree temp had something to do with it.

Soooo Im picking up the non autotrack tcase from a junk yard ( im converting it to man shift) and an adapter for right around $100. I also need a new rear driveshaft.

well james needs a new transmission, the output shaft seal is gone. Its leaking fluid like crazy so im picking up a transmission from a 2000 4x4 s10 with 47,000 miles on tuesday for $350. Swapping them out on friday/saturday.

D*** that sucks!!! Glad to see you got it all put back together and straightend out. I had the a ujoint go out on me in my landrover a few years back while I was in WI and I managed to pull the shaft and lock the tcase and limp all the way back to Virginia. It really sucks when things like that happen but again I'm glad to see James back on the road.
