Lifting 2" Progress journal
Guy on ebay called Skip White use sell a new metal body distributor for a really good price. Picked one up for my whites ZR2 after the tab broke and I wasn't gonna shell out 200+ bucks for another plastic POS. Don't see em listed on his ebay store anymore, just the 5.0 and 5.7's but I am sure if you emailed em they could get it. It was a nice piece click on this user name.. whiteperformance1

yah i wont go higher than a 1.5"
I just wanted a bit more higher profile, and enough to get my 30's on it.
You know for the record, how would I solve the joint wear out problem? And please don't a BL...
Like if I wanted to do a 4" or 6" (which I might do in the future). How would these problems be solved? Or would they be the same?
I also didn't understand the new keys...are they different from the stock? Thats the only thing I didn't understand why it came with the kit?

With the 6in lifts the front differential is dropped down so your cvs are still withing factory specs.
You might be able to skip the keys depending on how much your tbars are sagging. If your tbars are sagging you might not be able to get much lift out of them. I was only able to get .75in out of my passenger side.
i don't know how to check "sagging t-bars"? Could you explain that?
and I will put the keys in.
I bought the pos distributor from a salvage yard, for $70, looks good.
BTW
new rotor and distrib. cap solved my miss-fire and p300 code.
WOoooo!
so just gotta get that distributor in, my teacher is getting the part and we will put it in Tuesday. I wont be driving at all this weekend so that works out.
so crossing my fingers to do lift on Wednesday
instructions say I need a puller tool, and that I need to rent this.
Can I get this from an "Autozone"? and anyone have pics of what it looks like?
Thanks

Tool is at the bottom of this page, it also has boots for your shocks and a steering stabilizer if that is something you are interested in.

boots are designed to keep moisture out. don't know about this one, wheres the boot, did you run it without the boot after they were installed. all the shocks i've put in without boots i usually wish i did later on down the road. can't ever say i've had a moisture issue with the ones that did have boots
Cant wait for you to get the lift kit on man. Your gonna love it. Im in the progress of lifting my blazer as well. Im doing it by jacking the torsion bars and putting blocks in the rear. Does anyone know if I can still use factory shocks or if I need to get new ones? I was just going to buy some new Bilsteins from Autozone.
