So I went to go take the jimmy the next day, and lone behold theres a leak! But not from my freshly done pump job, nope my drain plug cracked and was leaking. So I decide to drain, remove plug, attempted to put a bandaid until a new one arrived, but when I crawled under to seal the crack, I noticed it's about a 1/2" long and theres pieces missing so theres no repairing that.
luckily Amazon only took 2 days, just finished installing the new rad, had to go with a budget one, but everything worked out great. NO LEAKS and the temp doesnt even go past the 4th line lol. So that makes a new water pump, rad, rad cap, thermostat, and heater core, all since January.
Yup, even came with new ends for the oil and tranny cooler sections... working great so far lol... I did get her summer tires on today as well... and looking at a flux core welder for 200 down from 575, so I'll be able to fix the exhaust leak and other odds and ends...
So jimmy is driving great again. Notice a few rotted vacuum lines under the hood, could explain the lack of 4x4 and weird climate controls acting up...
but the other day I noticed this....
so now I get to try this out when it's nice out...
Some more work done over the last few days. Been busy doing 6 day work weeks so I had to fit it in here and there. Broke the original line breaking one of the spark plugs free. New wires and plugs All tie rods, ball joints, sway bar links.

that is the exact welder I bought on Black Friday last year. I love it and it works great made my sliders with it and patched up some exhaust and it fits the 10lb rolls of wire 1 suggestion though use the .030 wire not the .035. I found it welds better
Thanks for the input! I haven't used it too much, but I'm figuring it out lol. I haven't tried the bigger wire yet. But thanks for the heads up on that
So with me being busy at work, helping with the blazer, doing body work on the sonoma, and that doesnt included my chores lol, the jimmy is getting dropped off at a muffler shop. With the hole getting bigger and bigger, almost the size of a small fist, and the p.o. cut out the cat and welded a pipe in place, I'm not too sure what the cost will be, but my moms tired of sounding like a German tank coming around the corner, so she called the shop and all I gotta do is drop it off.
That was a good mornings read Don. Some things are just best handed over to a professional. I have learned this(finally). Sometimes my time is best spent making $$.
