Default My '82 K5 on going project

Hey guys girls. Just though I would post a few pics of my project. These are just a few my girlfriend took of it. I dont have any with the new tires on it but I can post some soon. It was a bone stock '82 when i got it in November of 2008. The things I have done to it so far(not all myself though) include: 6" rough country lift( still rear blocks with add-a-leaf), new ball joints, new custom dual exhaust, 38.5x11 15 TSL Boggers ( 35x13.5 15 M/T Baja Claws in the pictures), new tail lights, billet front grille, new front bench seat, stripped front carpet and sprayed in rubberized coating, new water pump, Edelbrock intake/ carb. and a bit of body work. This truck is great off road and I will never sell it. Let me know what you think! If you feel like it, I'd like to see your guy's K5's if you've got pictures. Thanks!

Very Nice. I'm finally gonna be able to drag mine back to Texas with me after the Christmas holidays so I can get back to work on it after deer season ends.

It looks better in the "mud brown" paint job you did on her..LOL

The blazer is in Maryland and I'm currently in Texas. Well I just got back to Maryland yesterday and picked up a tow bar today. Sooo when I head back to Texas will be taking the Blazer with me.

Plans:
1. Address all mechanical issues. Using some oil, trans cable adjustment....
2. New Exhaust
3. Finish the body work and get'r painted.
4. Install new carpet or bedliner on the interior
5. Brush guard. Black.
6. Possible 350 swap...we'll see.

Just put new 31X10.5 BFG's on it so not looking at any lifting right away.

oh yea, nice. Yea I really want to get my body fixed and painted as well. I've seen a few around town with fresh paint on them and they look really good. You could probably put 33's on it without any lift at all if ya wanted. I put 35's on mine stock and they rubbed a little on the rear of the front tires while turning( They were pretty used when I got them though). I also put new 2.5" exhaust all the way back with only glass packs( no cats, no mufflers)... Im pretty sure its the loudest truck in town, haha. Havent passed a cop at high RPM's yet but im sure its way to loud. Yea, I kinda wish I had waited on the lift and done gears and axles first, but the lift is pretty fun. Well good luck on your blazer, hopefully you can post some pics of your progress on it!
