Just picked up this 1998 chevy blazer, probaly the cleanest one I've seen around up here in the north lol. After reading through rex's crazy build I had to start a thread on this thing. Current plan is lift, bigger tires, and have some fun offroad, but figured I should maybe share what I'm doing and take some suggestions on it.
Currently working on getting my spare bumper cleaned up, gonna bedline it and the rest of the brown on the truck, swapping out original because its the most rotten piece of the truck, still have some other maintenace items to do before the fun starts. One step at a time though.
Your bumper looks pretty much shot. I put an entire can of undercoating on the inside of my new (to me) bumper when I replaced it since the rust from the inside out.
thinking 2.5 suspension and 3 inch body, I work at a scrapyard so I'm hoping I can build it using mostly scrapyard parts. Theres a 1990 chev half ton single cab shortbox with a 3 inch bds lift I'm going to try and make fit the blazer.

I got the plastic covers off to see how bad it really is, definitely shot. Thank god it came with an extra bumper and hitch.
