Default Re-build Jeremiah's Blazer

I have quite a few things that need to be done. So I'm making a build thread.

Current Problems:
-Messed up quarter panel plastics Finished
-Rotten Front bumper plastics Finished
-Fatfingered and broke the 4LO button on my trutrac Finished
-No speakers, all rotten Finished
-Stock Chrome is all rotten and gone Finished
-Broken door clips Finished

Future Projects:
-K&N Cold Air Intake Finished
-Two 10" Subwoofers Finished
-Brush Guard Finished
-Recovery Hook Painting Finished
-Paint Job
-Decal Creation and Placement
-T-bar crank and 2" shackles Finished

I currently have no pictures because it's raining, but rest assured, I will have some within the next few days. It'll be a lot of eye-candy. Rotten, afflicted eye-candy.

Looks like a good project you have on have on your hands there
Hoping to follow along. Pics are a must, but BAD pics make the changes that much more powerful.

Oh yeah. You'll need a trashcan handy when you see the rotten pieces. You WILL lose everything you ate for the last 2 weeks.

This is the front where the parking lights are. I took off the black trim with the chrome on top because it was dry-rotted and nasty.

This is the back peice thats rotten. (It's the same on both sides)---The red text says- "Supposed to be chrome" and "Dry-rotted, falling apart"

Where my recovery hooks go.

My grill, which needs to be re-painted.

This is the place the Blazer came from, it's comin off.(Already took off Chevrolet, but Blazer is staying)

And finally, my hood. It needs to be re-painted thanks to some kids next door to my aunt. Before my aunt gave it to me, it didn't run and sat in her driveway for a year. Well, last new years eve, the kids next door put a big ole thing of firecrackers on her hood while she was away. So the little ****heads destroyed the paintjob.

The red text says "That is not rain my friends, that is bubbled up clearcoat

Today was quite productive.

I took the grill off:

Then I got the bottom bumper off:

^(This entire build was started because I wanted to take off that black liscence plate holder and clean it. Of course they had to drill it in from the inside of the bumper.)

^(P.S. ABN31B [Curtis if I may] that is the effect of 'Back To Black' on a 14 year old piece of faded plastic. I need to find a picture of it before applying BTB.)

^(Then I find out why my front end was shifted in and over towards the driver side. That little bugger is broken. The non-broken one was on the passenger side.)

^(Lets play "Spot the recovery hook")

^(My cleaned fog lights/lamps.)

^(My lights have never been that bright [except on high beams]. These are normal beams. I cleaned the lenses with "Scratch Out". I clears up yellowed headlights and removes clearcoat scratches.)

AND WE ALL HAVE TO THANK PB BLASTER!!!!

nice to see your work coming along well. I should have done one of these threads when while I was doing my blazer.

its your lucky day. I just so happen to have a set of rear bumper ends in my apartment.

4 bolts on the top, 1 on the bottom on a little bracket, and i think a couple holding it to the fender lip.

NON-monofiliment fishing line OR dental floss to cut it like a cheese wire. Heat to soften up the adhesive behind it, and good gone to clean it up.

as for the Back to Black, OMG! that stuff rocks

after that nose job, your truck will be all new! the work is coming along great too BTW!

Looking better already. I like that back to black stuff. If only I had something to try it on.
