Cool My lil' Devil

This build is for my 99 s10 xtreme pickup with a 2.2L SOHC/ 5 speed. Aka my daily driver. I bought her with 110,000 on the stock drive train but blew the head gasket on the way home with her the other night so I'm in the process of swapping in the an extra motor with 60,000 miles & gunna put all new gaskets & new parts on the stock motor & keep it as an extra. Also gunna do a e fan mod while everything is out & threw a new radio in it. That's it for right now.

Future plans: 2/3 drop, soft tunnel cover, & maybe a 4.3 swap in the future but we'll see.

Ill and pics soon

Looks like you got a good deal since you got the extra motor with it, looks clean! If you are planning on dropping the rear with blocks, let me know I can make em for ya.

Hey that'd be awesome. I'm debating on drop spindles on the front or just cutting off a coil or 2. To drop the front. Has any body ever chopped of a coil on coil springs worth it or should I just buy the drop spindles to be safe?

That depends on what kind of ride you want. On my 63 fairlane I cut the coils and it rode like a ton of bricks lol. Its like riding a rigid frame bike compared to one with a suspension. Just be sure to take one full coil.

Well riding the s10 is like riding in a caddy over th bravada so maybe ill just save up for some drop spindles & ball joints while I'm at it.

Looks like it will make a nice DD. I love that hood! I have been searching for a good deal on one forever. I had a guy right up the street from me with one on a blazer that wasn't being driven due to dead inspection and I was going to stop by and try to buy it when I got back from vaca and go figure I come back to the truck being gone and when I stopped to see where it went he said he let his nephew borrow it and he tboned someone so no more hood

Yea I love the hood, go figure it's the only aftermarket part on the truck, well expect the bumper which I guess some one stole the old one so they put the new one on with a dozen or so lag bolts thru the steel bumper lol. I was surpised that it was an exhaust shop parts truck but no custom exhaust. O well. That sux about the hood bud.

Also Iv got the new motor in just have to finish hanging parts. Ill add pics soon.

Btw the blown block has a GM13 stamp on it & the new has GM15 stamped on it. Any one know the differences? They look the same & every thing transfer over fine. Only diff so far was the gm15 had smog stuff & the gm 13 didn't so we deleted it on the 15 before install.
