My small 96 Blazer build
Yeah I was kind of thinking I might need to take the edge off to get it to properly seat. I will find out for sure when I actually get under the truck and try and put it on lol! The branch was a short and hard pine branch and it must have just caught it just right cause it came off in 1 swift motion and before I could even stop the rack was on the ground
I wasn't moving very fast either.
I will get you your info tomorrow I promise! I just set myself a reminder in my phone to so it

Almost have to look forward to the casualties. Like you said, it gives you an opportunity to make it better and make your Blazer even more custom. Like you need it. lol Can't wait to see what you come up with for the roof rack. Buying that welder is paying off.
LOL I always need more custom
I have a plan in mind for the roof rack but it will be a couple weeks before I get around to it I'm sure. The welder has become my best friend! Now I just need to get some gas for it and actually focus on making nice looking welds with it rather than my ugly flux welds.

Got the diff protector installed. I got impatient and didn't wait for the bedliner to fully dry but I don't care its just gonna get jacked up anyway

I also installed a custom wire retainment system for my stray wires after ripping the roof rack off yesterday

Now I can go play again and not catch the wires on any trees.

This is an awesome thread!!!
I haven't had the time to read all of it yet, so I am sorry if someone already asked this:
I bought the locking cable to do the modification to replace the vacuum actuator. I notice that when pulling on the cable, well, you can pull it out a long way. How do you know when you are far enough out? Do you feel it engage, or do you need to make measurement so as not to do any damage?
Thanks!

Mine pulls about 2" at most. I try to roll at about 2-3 mph when I pull and lock it it to make sure it fully engages. I basically pull it as far as it will allow me and its good to go

looks good man always love the custom touches on the truck. I wish I had my own welder at home I would build a custom front ifs set up for my truck and regear it all. did u forget about me for the wiring diagram and parts list for the electric fan?
