My small 96 Blazer build
I don't have any economy as it is 14 is about tops right now lol! Not to mention it's not a dd so mileage isn't really an issue I was more concerned about being able to drive on the hi way since most offroad locations are a good two hour drive for me.
Yeah it's still going to be a coupleonths before any real work starts
. Gotta wait till Xmas to get my gears and hanger then I gotta pay someone to instal and setup my gears
. I'm not willing to learn on these axles lol!! I've still got a bunch of other little crap to pickup as well. Then hopefully around mid-late January I can get started with actually building this thing!

On the flat at 60 mph, I can still get about 14 mpg. If I go 75 mph, my mileage drops to 10. It feels like there is an invisible wall between those two speeds.
Dana axles are a PITA to set up, not the best to learn on.
Astro boxes are reverse rotation, so you can run the pitman arm off the front of the steering gear, instead of the rear. Good for clearance because you need to move the front axle forward if you install tires over 33". And they are direct bolt in.

Not sure why but a couple women found themselves stuck in a construction ditch across the road from my shop so I gave them a hand and tugged them out! Bout time I finally got to use my winch
