I just finished another glock, this one a 17.. I put a Lone Wolf "Pro's pick" trigger in it and trijicon night sights. I have been considering setting it up with a Burris Fast Fire optic because i shoot IDPA pistol matches. But who knows.. With my 1yr old son its kinda hard to compete in the shoots let alone have time to shoot anymore.

Hey Rex will those Leafs bolt up to a stock rear axle in a blazer? My leaf springs are on their way to looking like a hill and I'm needing new ones, those bolt right in on the stock axle? If so, what springs are they from RC?

I cant imagine what this build would be like if it was a "big build" instead of a small one

The RC springs are actually jeep springs that I will be using in the front when I do the SAS.

This place has all the stuff you could ever need for springs. The 1400# capacity springs make a big difference, stiff ride though.

Sweet I'll have to check them out. Have you replaced leafs before? Trying to figure out if it's "drive way do-able". So far everything has been except my engine swap and Tranny rebuild.. Did the engine myself in a friends shop and the tranny I had a friend do. Springs I'm a little on the fence!

As long as none of your bolts are stuck in place its not a bad job to do at all. Its still completely driveway doable if they are stuck or rusted just more of a PITA. If you have done a motor and trans leafs should be a walk in the park. I would recommend to replace all related bushings while you are at it just to be covered and not have to do it later down the road.

Also, be very careful of where you place your jackstands... doing rear leafs on my dad's jimmy he ripped out a chunk of his thumb because he had the stands in the wrong place and the truck shifted.

I was thinking get it high enough to take the weight off the back and then support the frame in front of the tires and also two jack stands under the axle. Should keep almost all elastic energy out of the springs and make it a little easier. I guess we'll see. If I were better about taking photos along the way and had the time to upload them, I'd have kept my build thread really up to date! Maybe that'll be a New Years Resolution.

Also Rex, I have yet to carpet my storage floor I built in the back, what carpet did you use? Or where did you get it from? I heard Walmart has cheap rolls but I want it tough, doesn't necessarily have to match, rather have it dark charcoal or black. Would be nice to use the same stuff to carpet a Sub box if I ever get around to it.

Thanks! Can't wait to see this axle swap!!
