So I don't understand why I can cut grind and weld all day but when it comes to putting a simple screw into my sons lacrosse stick I somehow drill a Phillips bit into my hand and have since lost all use of my middle and pointer fingers!! Needless to say its 11:45 at night and this is my view of the ER room

I had to wait and take my wife to dinner tonight since it's her bday. This was dinner

And here is the wound. Doesn't look like much but I made it about a 1/4" into the palm.

Yeah me to! Sitting at the ortho now. The ER doc is concerned there may be some nerve damage. Hopefully it's not to bad and will just heal on its own. Right now I don't even have enough strength in my fingers to break off some toilet paper! The part that bothers me most is that I was hoping to get my spring hangers welded on this week that's not going to happen now

Simple tasks can become monumental - all it takes is FATIGUE. I've learned that the hard way over the years. Hope that heals up quick & ya get your fingers working again.

Thanks. I read this on my lunch break at work and just about sprayed water all over my computer. Freaking hilarious.

Oh dear.

Rex, I hope you heal up quick. It sucks when a seemingly little poke like that takes away the use of your whole hand.

Thanks guys! Ortho said there is some nerve damage but at this point it looks like I escaped serious damage and it should heal its with time. I was happy when he said no surgery was needed! I follow up with him next Tuesday morning so now I just have to let my body do its thing and fix itself. Hopefully I can get back to working on the truck by next week my gear instal kits came in today as well.
