Hey guys, im George, from Chicago, and me and my brother picked up this '97 4x4, with 119k, the other day down in Decatur Illinois. Didn't need it, but it was way too clean to pass up. I don't expect much exciting to be posted in this thread, but it'll be nice to keep a bit of an ownership log.

As it looked when we began our 220 mile drive home, which the truck did absolutely flawlessly. What a nice driving vehicle! Everything works, and its very comfortable.


Today I had some time, and decided to get started on exterior detailing. Washed, clayed, and used meguairs 105, then 205, all around, on Lake Country pads, and my harbor frieght buffer. Sealed it up with Meguairs M27.

Also replaced the broken side mirrors with new ones.











Looks pretty good for 26! Threw a cheap tire cover on the back, and found a pretty decent FM bluetooth handsfree plug in on Amazon as well.

Next ill hit the inside and engine bays, and probably do an oil change and make sure everything looks good underneath.

Did some interior clean up the other day. Quite impressed with how nice it looks!









Then went to Pick N Pull Hammond, Ind. today, had to get some parts for another car, and saw a few Blazers/S10s.

Grabbed a missing overhead console piece and some center caps, a cigarette lighter, and some radio *****. Nice day to walk around
