Well that might be something to look into... I could probably score some nice brakes from the salvage yard...

Heck yeah. My buddy has a Trans Am, and the rotors aren't much bigger, maybe a good 1/2 inch. But the calipers are huge! Much bigger than the Blazer's.

It's always about the money, then the time.

You've done a great job Matt. I like the clean look & as has been said . . those pinstripes have gotta go! They belong back in the '60's. Or on ricers! LOL

Thanks for the compliments, everyone!
I finished debadging the truck today. Even took the LS badges off.

Now, the stripes will be coming off soon. I tried again to pull them off, but they are very brittle from baking in the Florida sun, so they came off in pieces.
Luckily, a friend of a friend is going to school for Auto Bodywork, and I've been told that he has the right stuff to get rid of them. So, hopefully I can get in touch with him to get rid of those stripes.

To get them off on my Firebird I used a heat gun on low (or you could use a blow dryer on high) and soaked it all down with PB Blaster. One I had it good and heated and lubricated, I could practically peel it away with my finger nail. Hardest part was to stop bitting my fingernails for a week.

So, I need fingernails. It's gonna be tough letting them grow, lol.
What I did at first was used a heat gun alone, but the stripes on my front 1/4 panels are cracked. Those are gonna be a pain.

Thats how they were on my Firebird. Soak them in PB Blaster/WD-40. I found Blaster worked better. If you want, and if you trust yourself, you can use a razor blade instead of nails. Took me about 2 hours to have the stripes off.

I wouldn't trust myself with a razor against paint, lol. Nah, I'll do it how you did. 2 hours isn't THAT bad. It took me almost that long to take both my door badges off.
