Project: It's about time.
Thogert, if you are still wondering what happened to your soldering iron tip, the outer iron layer got scratched or nicked and the copper core started to oxidize and disintegrate. My job involves soldering almost everyday, so that is how I know. Also, when you are done soldering, put a blob of solder on the tip and let it cool... this will help protect and preserve it.
P.S. Your lights are looking good!

I got a couple of pics of my led board for the tail light project. There is the 4 1 watt leds in the middle but they are not working (one led is bad) so here are the rest.
Parking light.

Brake / turn signal light.

P.S.
I really hate the beam pattern from the new headlights. They are all splochy and they have dead spots. They are worse than the hid kit I used to have in the old housings.
I can't wait for some FX-R's.
