*continues with hijack topic* do a search for the MAF screen. people have been debating this for a while with kyle always weighing in on the "leave it be" side. he has numbers (mmm data) to back it up.

Alex: Big score on the deck! i bought a crappy $70 deck with single cd and AUX and iPod prort. I have used the cd slot once i think... they really are a thing of the past
Yeah, we'll get right on banning him . And it's actually a really nice deck (JVC I'm pretty sure). I rarely use CD's, so it's perfect for me. I'll snap a pic of it when I get home tonight.

yo, if Kyle were to leave we'd have to change the website to www.broken_down_blazer_support_group.com

Well what did I get for xmas? Some goodies for the truck is what

I got a CB radio. They were some old handheld ones my dad had laying around. I got 3 of them and a whip for my truck. I was playing around with it last night a bit and picked up a train and someone else chatting away. I have to get it all mounted and properly wired in today. Pics will follow
I didn't get a GPS like I wanted, but got plenty of cash and gift cars that I could use to buy my own. I'm unsure if I will or not.
I also got a 233pc socket set . It's soooooo nice. I'll snap a pic of it too later on. I can't wait to start taking stuff apart with it lol.

EDIT:

Here are the pics:

Where I ran the wire in:

And my kick *** socket set

Lol yeah man. It's pretty cool. We were picking up a lot of chatter last night sitting in the driveway, but it's been pretty quiet so far. I'm going to have it on on the way to the office Monday and see if I can get any good chatter.

You're right, tools are always awesome gifts. I guess my dad had already bought me the set before he saw my wish list with it on there. I wasn't expecting a 233pc set though lol.. I was thinking more along the lines of 150pc, but this one is sweeeeet. Can't wait to use it
And I don't want to speak to soon, but I have a lot of gift cards I got for xmas too. I'm thinking roof lights might be in my trucks distant future...hmmmm. We will see.

Well I got creative and mounted my CB to my dash. It wasn't where I wanted it, but since I'm using a handheld one I had to improvise.
I used a piece of "cable wrap". It's a weaved almost kevlar like stuff. It's meant to feel cables through to keep them together and keep them protected from stuff like pets chewing through them etc. I just took a small piece and screwed it into the dash. I utilized the belt clip on the back of the radio and hooked it on! Not bad for a free and 5 second job . Sorry for crappy cell pics.

Here is the deck I got as promised. I need to pick up a mounting kit and she will be installed.

I like that deck. Nice sleek and not too "out there". Nice mount job BTW. Nothin like good improvisation!
