Default Project rebuild grandpa's old Blazer

I've decided to rebuild my Blazer since my fiance got pregnant and I need something more family friendly. I bought it from my grandpa 2 years ago right before he pasted away so I want to keep it in the family. Trans quit and the motor started knocking so it got parked.

I plan on rebuilding the trans and swapping a 99 5.7 vortec. I already picked up the motor. I plan on going through the motor and replace gaskets and rings as well as a lt4 hot cam.

Other plans
Fix rust
Tint
Bravada shaft
Paint the z28s
Sonoma front clip
RAM air hood
2” bodylift
31s
Floor shifter
True dual exhaust

Good luck! Sounds like you got a good bit of work ahead of you.
