I got 22mpg on Sunday!
I'm both impressed and confused. How did I do that?

Lots of highway driving lol. Consistent speed. And maybe you were more conservative with the gas.

if i keep my foot out of it, and keep my top speed below 100/110 (meaning no highway driving) i can get 21 to 22 mpg out of mine.

but it's hard. damn hard!

With my big tires and heavy weight I'm lucky to get 16 average lol. The love of a Jimmy!

that's why i really don't want to go with too big of tires when i lift the Blazer.

besides, i kinda like the "open" wheel wells-just o long as they don't look too "lost" in there.

Could also be because you replaced the distributor cap and rotor, if those were garbage, your ignition wasnt running right and you wouldnt have been burning the fuel as well as you could be.

I know I did a tune up on my blazer, I went from 18MPG max to about 22MPG after the tune up and new belt and all.

I've noticed I get a lot better mileage when driving through the upper peninsula here in Michigan than in the lower peninsula. The speed limit is 55mph up there and I normally get between 18-21 mpg. In the lower peninsula I get between 15-18 mpg where the speed limit is 70mph. Sounds like the slower speeds get better mileage (but we all already knew that haha).
