that's all we used on the insert in my brother sub enclosure, in his Summer Dime.

and trust me, it's sealled quite well!

in fact we destroyed the original piese of 3/4" plexi just 4 days after it was installed (had to fix a wiring issue). the current piece has been in there for just over 10 years now. again, no issues.

i'll see if i have a few pic's kickin' around the HD, post 'em up when i find them.

don't know why you need to find a "name" for her (you've been talkin' to Pat too much) but "Amber" jumped out @ me right now.

EH, something to call it other than The Southern Ghost.

Anyways, my fuse blew on the power wire to the subs, so I thought "eh, maybe a fluke".

Bad idea! I bought a new fuse and right as I hooked it up BAM! Blew that one.
Okay, there's definitely a short. So, I traced the wire(Hooray for running wire the easy way!) and at the back seat was the culprit. Apparently the last time I folded the seats back up, the power wire got pinched between the hinge of the back-rest on the floor. It cut just enough insulation off to short it out. So, since the braiding inside was still all intact, I took electrical tape and wrapped it around a bunch of times and about 3 inches outfrom the problem. Hooked it all up and Voila! No blown fuse. That's good.

So, after that I noticed only one sub was working( I thought the deck was just going out before). I was worried, so I flipped the cables around and only one cable worked. Well that's a relief. So, I got some new, better RCA cables and now I'm back louder than ever!
(cuz I have 2 subs.)

I just wish these subs were actually mine because I hate the way my friend put the amp on top of the box instead of behind it. I was able to get the wiring looking pretty clean, but it can be tidier.
