Racing Kart Restoration
I recently bought an older what I believe to be a 1988 Margay racing frame off of craigslist for $75. I'm now in the process of restoring it to a usable state. Here are some pictures I have taken along the way.
I've ordered a new axle, sprocket, chain, and bearings
My plans:
paint it either blue or green
order a race ready 6.5hp engine from Arc Racing
get a gas tank and fuel pump
replace brake master cylinder and caliper
make a new floor pan
buy a new set of tires
When I first got it

Stripped down

Sandblasting

Primed with self etching primer

Engine mock up

The transmission went out in my 95 blazer and here are the drive shafts and other parts while me and my dad rebuild the tranny again.

Lately I have been busy and funds haven't really been available up until recently but here are the things I have worked on. It is close to being finished! For now I have a 5hp Tecumseh on it.
New axle and sprocket

24"x48" 22 gauge sheet for the floor pan

As it sits waiting for paint and tires. The tires should be coming in the mail Wednesday.I also have a new hydraulic brake installed.
