Finally got a nice day off not being buried by work or other projects
So my day started off on a good note with a pile of car parts
So I changed the front end:
Before:
During:
After:
Ended up using this to align the lights
Used the garage door and a bit of painters tape, made for light alignment work a whole heck of a lot easier. Got the lights more or less back the way they were prior to the install
Also installed LED switchback bulbs as shown here

Really pleased with the way everything turned out. Definitely brings the front end up to the standard of newer GMC's. I was planning on replacing the rear bumper too but I ordered the bumper cap without the trim slots by mistake so I have to wait for the new one to come in, and get a day again to work on it.

Thanks,
I got it from grill4you on ebay: grille4you on eBay
Good deal, good build. Its a bolt over type. They come with and without the emblem hole with a nice aluminum polish.
Happy hunting

Keeping busy this summer, can't believe where it has gone. Guess I'll be doing a bit of work this fall rather than my plan to work this summer on things.
However a small project demanded my attention after discovering it at a gas station while cleaning the back window.
The screws holding my backup camera rusted through and popped. So I got under there with a grinder (I moved away from the gas station first), shined up a small patch of metal and JB Welded the camera back into place.
It's amazing what you can fix with the quick setting JB Weld
On another note, that hitch receiver looks awful....

I thought about doing a camera under the hitch like that. I have one that goes on top of my license plate but it covers the sticker, and my dogs always swivel it down when they jump in the back.

Yeah its fairly protected where it's located. Decent view too
Just doesn't protect the screws from rusty Michigan haha
JB should help out with that little issue. Hoping I get time this fall before the snow flies to clean that hitch up

While not a progress update, I did go out the the stamp sands today with a buddy who has a 99 Blazer LT. I think he's going to be joining the crew here soon
