Road Warrior Build (Sort of)
No pictures to post on this one, but this past week I've replaced the front and rear pinion seals as well as replaced the front driver side hub bearing. Now she's riding smooth again 8)
I do have the parts to fix my fender, I just haven't had the time or weather to get them cleaned up and painted yet. This might get pushed until spring or summer as the weather gets less and less favorable for paint

Well on my drive back from the Thanksgiving holiday the rear wiper started acting up again. Not sure if the motor has died again or if there is a wiring issue. The wiper works, but very very weak. The first wipe it gets stuck even with the fluid, but after a push of the hand, its fine for the rest of the trip.
Unless someone has a suggestion where to look, I'll have to pull the back apart againn after my surgery in Decemeber

Wow I have not updated this in a while. Things I've done in my absents:
-Replaced wiper motor
-Changed Front brakes (Back ones done last year)
Issues currently:
-Glass latch doesn't like to close, I've got it jammed shut and disconnected the actuator so it doesn't get used accidentally again (since that's what happened last time). Currently there is a bungie cord as a safety backup hidden behind the trim so you can't even tell its there. Will fix this summer probably
-Occasional belt squeal mainly on damp cool mornings until the engine warms up
-A very occasional power steering pump whine (Or so I think). Its so infrequent its hard to tell (only when warm)
-Back bumper cap still has a hole in it
-Driver side rear window track is rusted and is partially falling appart needs a tear down and replacement.
-Driver door bushings will need replacement soon
-Engine surging on hot days (Haven't been able to diagnose this for the obvious reason that it has been cold or cool so the issue hasn't come up since last summer/fall but I asume this issue is still there waiting for the summer heat to wake it back up again)
I think that is it? Seems like its a revolving door, fix one thing, something else minor and nagging comes up, but its hard to beat in the snow we get up here, so she's not going anywhere soon
Odometer is at 99,5xx Miles. The big 100,000 will be here in the next few week

And over the last week or so I've started work on fixing the hole in my bumper cap.
I want to thank Shaley 32x who saw my search for an SLE cap, and reached out to me before he got rid of his own last summer. It is from a red SLE Jimmy so I needed to refinish it. Unfortunately its taken me until now to finally get to it. Here are the pictures from my on and off work of it over the last week. I've been doing a coat or two a day when I get the time between shifts

Currently at the last picture with one coat on before running out of paint. So I will be collecting more next week so I can finish it up before applying clear coat. Eventually installing it but I might re do the fender while its off as well

Thanks!
It has been going really smooth thus far. While I was waiting between layers, I've been doing other nitpicking things on the Jimmy like reinstalling the passenger side door spring that has been missing since last summer as well

Alright another progress update since I've continued working the last month on little bits when I can around work.
So Came back to the bumper cap, added the other layers, sanded and cleared before waxing. Here's the results

I plan to polish it once the rest of my body work is done this summer. So I've wrapped this guy up and will pull it back out later (don't want to scuff it while doing other work.)
While working on this project between coats I began work on rust preventing my hooks and hitch receiver. Couldn't get the hooks off so I had to mask up the front and go from there.
Ended up wire brushing, wire wheeling and grinding to clean off all the loose rust bits.

Once cleaned off I applied a rust stopper and rust shield on the base. Once cured for 24 hours, I applied the outer coat which is a rubberized frame under coat which also has a rust blocker in it. I don't think I've ever seen the hooks this black before in the 6 years of owning the vehicle.
I also did the same to the hitch receiver bar. This I didn't take as many pictures of as I was using some automotive language while wire wheeling this since I jumped the wheel into my rear camera. Thankfully the camera did survived and just needed to be remounted to the frame.

I'm happy with the way things turned out overall. Next up is redoing the fender from two yeas back and touching up skuffs around the vehicle.
