You will need to get a different transfer case. You cannot flip your current transfer case as the oiling will be all wrong. Since there was never an s-series with a passenger side drop, you will have to try for one of the NP208 or NP241 transfer cases from the fullsize trucks with a passenger side drop. This would be in the K5 and Suburban up to 1991.

yep. i got a np208 on my 93. just snag the 700r4/np208 adapter. it bolts right on.

just a heads up your front out put shaft is gonna be right in the middle of your crossmember so your gonna have to replace or modify yours so the driveshaft will clear it

Yea you'll need the floor shifter too or find one that works with that case. My 93 was a push button also I just tied the wires up out of the way under neith.

The bad thing about the np208 shifter is its floor mounted. So it'll work but it kinda goes into the passenger area. But u can probably raise it up some

heres a picture of the output shaft running into the crossmember

and my ghetto fix

heres the floor shifter in my truck... its angled into the passenger area which kinda sucks cause you have to make sure no one kicks it out of gear.. but if ya spent time you could probably make some kinda bracket so it it stood straight up.

i basically just cut out a 6inch section. i originally welded up part of a trailer hitch under there just for the build process and came back later and fixed it. i was gonna do a custom crossmember but got lazy.

as you can see it hung down way to low. so i just cut that part out and bolted in some C channel its place.

im sure there is a easier more simpler way to do a drop on the crossmember then my set up

Yea I recommend having a skid plate. Mine is scratched up like crazy from hitting stuff. Saved my transfercase for sure
