Notice it says BANNED guys? Yay!

Actually OHSOFLY had been my handle for more than half my life, since before I knew what drugs were, since before I could drive, since before I ever got my wee-wee wet... Since I ever had to login to a BBS on a 2400 baud modem. I think I was about 13

Allright, got some more updates now.

LED Denali style tail lamps - $140

The place I bought the tail lamps from sent out a mismatched set for the Yukon, I got one chrome, and one black. I wanted 2 blacks. So the right ones came last week and I put them on. Looks sweet. The best part is that they arent just ON/OFF they pulse sequentially for signals through 3 different brightnesses. It looks neat. There was a problem with the right side park lights not working for the last couple weeks. Pulled out the old test light and chased the wiring back to a broken wire at the junction box on the right inner fender. Resoldered a peice into the rotten wire and it works again. I also retinted the front drivers door glass on the Yukon as she scratched it. This time I took the glass out of the door and did a perfect job of it so the edges tuck into the door frame.

And all the stuff I ordered for the Illverado came too and I finished the mockup yesterday and today. I also gave away my box liner insert to some guy in my city that has a 2013 Silverado with the 6.2 in it, he let me take it for a little chew around the neighborhood and I made a new friend too. That 6.2 V8 makes me want to trade in my truck but I have waaaaaaaay too much invested into it now. Man does that 6.2 come ALIVE when you mash on it.

ProEFX steel Roll Pan - $215
60" LED tail light bar - $45
LED stock look tail lights - $210
RST SS style spoiler - $230

The Roll Pan didnt fit worth crap, and I needed to notch out the dual exhausts anyways, so I buzzed off the rolled edge that wraps around so that I could manually bend the metal so it fit to my liking. Took a couple hours of off and on fitting and bending and more grinding until I got it how I like it.

Here is where I wanted to grind it out.

Had to take more off to clear the pipes

And here it is fitting properly. I didnt like how it butted up against the spare tire either, so I went to drop the spare down and guess what, that little crank mechanism is siezed... Know how hard that is to remove with the tire all the way up so you cant cut the cable? Very! I had to reach up through the spokes on the spare, and use one hand to slide a hacksaw blade back and forth through the gap between the wheel and the carrier until the cable cut and the wheel fell on me. Took at least an hour to get the spare off. I am not replacing that mechanism, Ill just toss the spare in the box and haul it around.

This is the finished product, un painted obviously. Yes I know the spoiler is on upside down in the photo... Oooops. I installed the rollpan about 1/2 inch lower than its supposed to go to leave room for the 60" LED light bar.

This is what the new tail lamps for my truck look like, I will be painting them to match like the old ones.

I dropped all the parts off at the paint shop today to get color matched. Father-in-law made me sit around for a couple hours sanding all the parts and filing off the burrs on the steel rollpan. Since hes painting em for me for nothing, he said I can do all the prep work for him. Fair enough.

Total parts I am painting is:

RST wing
Roll Pan
LED tails
Steering wheel wings (the silver things)
Gauge bezzle
Left and Right dash panels.

I also added last week new HIDs, I took out the 3,500k yellow, and installed 40,000k green.

Already got a $57 ticket for them, so I will be going back to the yellow.

I also ordered three clay bars from eBay for about $7 shipped, and bought a clay barring kit at the store, so Im gonna clay both trucks soon and give em both a good waxing.

Ive also gotta do the 20s with BAR KEEPERS FRIEND and get em nice and shiney again. The guy I bought all my wheels from called and asked if he can have my Silverado for the Trucks Plus! show and shine they are doing in a couple months. I said sure as **** he can. I should have all my trick lighting done by then too.

I was going to order a street scene hidden hitch that comes out where that hole behind the plate is, but then my trailer will be even higher behind my truck... So what I am going to do since the hitch needs to come down about 2.5" to clear the rollpan is get some 3" "C" channel steel and make drop brackets for the hitch so my little trailer will sit level behind the truck, and one of those nerf bar style steps to go in the hitch when its not being used. That little step will match my current nerf bars on the sides and look good.

Took all my parts to the body shop and did all the prepwork on them today. Tons of sanding cause the finish on the RST wing sucked - Im glad I didnt order it pre painted cause I would be having it redone. There was some scratches in the rollpan that werent fun to sand out either. He will be painting up everything this week, I should be able to pick it all up this weekend and install as long as its nice out here.

Thanks man, Im loving this new truck and ignoring my Blazer for now.

Waiting on some more stuff I ordered to come in. Im going to be re-doing the lighting. With my headlamp switch, I will have 5000k HID headlamps, white CCRT halos, and a set of 5000k fogs mounted in the grill, white lic plate lights - LEGAL

With the foglamp switch, I will have green 40,000k fogs in the factory holes, green backlighting on the grill, a green bowtie emblem, and green CCRT halos as well as green underglow and green CCRT halos on the exhaust tips, and green lic plate lights, and a green night rider scanner bar in the grill - ILLEGAL

So this will allow me to be legal, or illegal and cool looking on 2 different light switches since my auto headlamps are disabled, I can choose which light circuit I want to use.

I also got blue LED underglows for the Yukon and trying to find a good deal on some Denali headlamps and markers.

I did get a free Alpine Deck thats a step up from the one I have in the Blazer. I took the Blazers old deck for my work truck, and Ill put this better one in the blazer.

The paintshop painted all my Illverados parts today, so Ill be able to get em all this weekend.

Oh they will be coming when I get it all done. I also got for both my trucks, these things that install in the bottom of the door panels, and blast the manufacturer emblem onto the ground when the doors open... GMC for the Yukon, and Chevrolet on the Illverado.
